It's already February! This may be a pattern, but the past few months have FLOWN by. And they're likely only going to start moving faster, because there are a LOT of amazing new comics starting this winter/spring, and I'm not planning on missing them! I've started compiling my list of upcoming reads, and it's a lot. Which is great! I love reading comics and I love sharing the world of all things comics, so all this does is give me more material to talk about! Speaking of talking about comics, this week I'm sticking with my "looser" format of posting--instead of the long-form, title/solicitation/response I have been doing for a while. I find it to be more conversational, and it's likely more interesting to read! Without further ado, continue reading to see whats in store this week!

I don't want to put the wagon before the horse, but this year has started off pretty good for me. I feel like I've gotten ahead of my life enough after the holidays finally to relax a little on the weekends and enjoy my hobbies. Which is a good thing, because comics are getting going full steam ahead! This week brings me thirteen new books, so a pretty solid start to the year. Continue reading to learn more about what's good and exciting this week in comics! New Comic Book Pulls DECEMBER 4th, 201911/30/2019 If there's anything that's true about my life today, it's that I'm thoroughly enjoying my weekly comics. It feels like around every corner, there's another excellent new series sitting there, waiting to be explored. These past few weeks have been BUSTING at the seams with new comics, so this week's nine is a nice quieter week. Three more X-Books, as it looks like Hickman has his team on 2-week intervals, Tom King's second-to-last every issue of Batman, and the well-regarded creative team of Thor is back with what promises to be a legendary one-shot with some of the best characters. It's officially December now, which means the countdown to 2020 is fully on! What should I do for the end of the year, a favorites summary? Top-5 comics of the year? Top-10? In any case, Continue Reading for this week's pulls! NEW Comic Book Pulls for November 25th, 201911/25/2019 I can't believe November is almost over! The past few months have been flying by, marked only by the massive influx of weekly comics. Last week was a doozy. I still haven't finished everything the week gave us, even as I write the update for the following week! What's truly remarkable about that is everything I have read from this past mega-week of comics was all brilliant. I didn't find myself lacking in quality material among the incredible stack of books last week gave us. This week has a lesser eleven issues I'll be reading, and even then, only that many because I'm throwing a few extras in. There are key issues of things coming out that I want to catch, and you won't want to miss them either! Continue reading to find out what's good this week in comics! NEW COMICS MEGA-WEEK! November 20th, 201911/17/2019 Holy pull-list Batman! The year is finishing off STRONG for comics, as I have a massive NINETEEN issues I'm reading! Thank goodness Thanksgiving "break" is coming up, and I'll have a few extra days off from work to catch up on my reading. All of these issues coming out this week are set to be totally stellar, too. Of the 19, three are one-shots, a Deadpool #1, the final issue of Absolute Carnage, a landmark Captain Marvel issue, and one of Tom King's last ever on Batman. Amazing stuff, as we've been seeing a LOT of recently. It makes me look forward to what the future of comics has to bring, and makes me want to share the brilliant stories and art I see in them with anyone who'll listen. Comics are a world I love, and I'm thrilled to share it with others. Continue Reading for the whole lot of this week's comics!
For the first time in months, I can almost count my comic pulls for the week on one hand. Almost. It's only 6 this week, half of last week's number, which has been about average these last few months. As I've mentioned a few times before, this year I challenged myself to add more comic books, and specifically more variety, to my reading list. Because of this, my weekly pull list has at least doubled in size on average, giving me plenty of reading material and plenty to talk about. Unfortunately like last week, no indie comics on my list, just Marvel and DC. This time of year publishers are doing a lot of Annuals, Specials, and One-Shots, which is why this week is so much smaller for me. That being said, the content of the six issues this week are just as good as ever, with an annual, two final issues, a first issue, and two second-to-lasts. Continue Reading to see all about my sweaty content for the week! I can't believe we're already halfway through October! The season of spook has begun, as shown on my comics list this week with the continuation of three issues from Marvel's current horror event: Absolute Carnage #3, Absolute Carnage: Avengers #1, and Absolute Carnage: Scream #3. Those three are out of the twelve total titles I'm talking about this week. Will I be able to keep this up? If I end up dropping any of these, I guess we know the answer to that. As usual, each book's solicitation will be included for a basic rundown from the publisher. There's a lot of great stuff happening in comics, all the time, so I'm listing some issues coming out this week that I don't read, but are well loved and enjoyed by others, at the end. There's also a lot of new titles starting up this fall and winter, and great starting points for ongoing ones. Meanwhile, Continue Reading for more comics talk! Congratulations, reader, you made it through last week! I ended up with about 10 pulls, so this week will be a little lighter. I have a much more manageable six issues to read this week, with a few more recommendations at the bottom again if you can't find anything to read. My laptop is being worked on at the computer repair shop as we speak, so while I am still mildly struggling with everything on mobile, I will do my best to keep up with editing and formatting. New Comics September 16th, 20199/17/2019
New Comics September 11th, 20199/9/2019 In writing out my pull list for the week, it occurs to me how many limited series I read. This week, 4 of the seven titles I'll be picking up are limited. It makes me wonder, is it me liking limited series' or is it publishers putting more of them out? Either way, these are the issues I'll personally be reading this week. It's an exciting week of women-based comics, space adventures, and epic tales. Be sure to stop by your local comic book shop to get this week's books! Continue reading for my full recommendations!
