As I prepped for the Illyana podcast, I wound up with a file of images through her comic history, and I'll be sharing them here, with any others I come across in the future.
Fans of Illyana, enjoy!

I'm pulling the same number of releases this week as last, with eighteen total books. I'm happy to say I'm trying out five new indie titles, to go along with five from DC, two other indies, three for the X of Swords event, and two other Marvel comics. All in all, a hefty week, but a very exciting one.
Since there are three Marvel comics that fit in to the X of Swords X-Men event, I've made them their own section so the discussions can all be together, in reading order of the issues. Hopefully this will make following along with the event a bit easier, or as I said last week, you can always pick up the collected edition towards the end of January, 2021. The five new indie titles are all experimental, coming from Dynamite, Aftershock, Vault, Oni Press, and Dark Horse Comics. The only one with a creative team I'm familiar with is Gerard Way's Killjoys original series follow-up, National Anthem. Out of the rest, I definitely imagine a few of them sticking around. Due to life complications, I'm only doing one spotlight this week, on female comic artist Carmen Carnero! She's made quite the name for her in the past few years, and I'm excited to tell you more! It's the big guns this week with a new comic pull list! I'm back to old habits and am discussing 24 different comics! Seven of the are either first issues or Specials, and at least three are final issues, so it isn't as crazy as it sounds.
Many of the week's pulls are limited series' in some way, as well, making them technically temporary pulls. If you're more into knowing about publishers, nine are Marvel, three are DC, and the rest are spread across independent publishers. These 24 pulls this week are also why some of my ensuing blurbs are a little shorter than normal. Continuing in doing my representation spotlights, I picked out Bitter Root and it's creative team as the spotlight on creators of color. Non-binary artist Jen Hickman is talked about for queer representation, and Spy Island, with it's Man-Eaters team of women, for female representation in the comics industry. Continue Reading to see what kind of amazing comics are coming out this week! I don't want to put the wagon before the horse, but this year has started off pretty good for me. I feel like I've gotten ahead of my life enough after the holidays finally to relax a little on the weekends and enjoy my hobbies. Which is a good thing, because comics are getting going full steam ahead! This week brings me thirteen new books, so a pretty solid start to the year. NEW Comic Book Pulls for November 25th, 201911/25/2019 I can't believe November is almost over! The past few months have been flying by, marked only by the massive influx of weekly comics. Last week was a doozy. I still haven't finished everything the week gave us, even as I write the update for the following week! What's truly remarkable about that is everything I have read from this past mega-week of comics was all brilliant. I didn't find myself lacking in quality material among the incredible stack of books last week gave us. This week has a lesser eleven issues I'll be reading, and even then, only that many because I'm throwing a few extras in. There are key issues of things coming out that I want to catch, and you won't want to miss them either! Continue reading to find out what's good this week in comics!
