Happy Monday, people! I flipped the agenda this week, starting off instead with this week's comic book Pull List, including spotlights for Women's History Month on the life and times of four favorite female characters appearing in this week's comic titles! They are: Carol Danvers, Patsy Walker, Jessica Drew, and Selina Kyle! Their lives are so much more than what appears on the surface, and here I discuss how the best way to write or appreciate these women is to remember ALL their history as a whole, not just the parts you preferred.
After that, since WandaVision is over, I talk about its behind-the-scenes episode, titled, Assembled: the Making of WandaVision! There were a few key points worth learning, but it was mostly just a fun look at the process of putting the actors together in this kind of setting. Following that, I also have a discussion of the third episode of Superman and Lois and the CW network, which I continue to greatly enjoy! Then I have another segment on the upcoming SnyderCut! Zack Snyder's four-hour Justice League premiers in six parts this Thursday, so in this episode I break down the 12 (or so) major expectations I have for the film, based on claims made by Snyder himself. It's been years leading up to this final product, and he's been pumping it up the whole time, so he's made some pretty big shoes for himself to fill, and I'm excited to see how it all works out! It all wraps up with brief notes of excitement for the premier of Falcon and the Winter Solider this Friday (which I will discuss next Monday!), and some general thoughts on today's Oscar nominee announcements. The next podcast episode is coming this Friday, 3/19, where I will be talking comic book picks--things I enjoyed or are noteworthy out of this week's comic book releases. And, of course, I'm sure there will be plenty of comics in pop culture news, and I'll probably have a few words to say about the first episode or two of Snyder's Justice League. Stay Sweaty!

Happy International Women's Day!
Here at last! This week, of course, I am covering the stupendous finale of Marvel's WandaVision on Disney+! Between Agatha Harkness, Vision and White Vision, Monica Rambeau and Fietro, witchy magic casting, villainous monologues, emotional turmoil, Wanda's true potential, Skrulls, and a beautiful Incredible Hulk (2008) homage, I talk WandaVision ep. 9 for about an hour! And for good reason, we're initiating a new era of the MCU, here! After I wrap up WandaVision, I cover this week's new comics that I'm looking forward to. Don't forget to check with your local comic shop about what else is coming out, I only represent a fraction of actual releases! Though this week DOES have a lot of stellar "indie" titles coming out, including LUNA #2 and KARMEN #1. This episode wraps up with brief WandaVision Merch announcements and getting pumped up about the next Disney+ Marvel show: Falcon and the Winter Soldier, premiering March 19th! I'll be doing similar breakdowns on my Monday podcasts, as I did with WandaVision. I'll be back for a new podcast episode Friday, March 12th, to talk about what I most enjoyed--or was most noteworthy--in this week's comic book releases! And as we get closer to the FATWS and SnyderCut premiers, more comics in media news is bound to roll in! Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this episode, and have a sweaty week!

Happy Monday! Episode 8 of WandaVision was QUITE the episode, and we're starting to use some heavy-duty comic book terminology (chaos and nexus and probability, oh my!), so after my in-depth discussion of the episode's events, I go into explaining Wanda/Scarlet Witch's comic book origins and powers! Even though we're winding down to the last episode, there's still so much left to theorize about, and I cover it all, and more, here.
This week's comic book Spotlights on Representation include four much-awaited #1 issues: Demon Days, Wiccan and Hulkling, Sensational Wonder Woman, and the new America Chavez series! Brief overview of other New Comics this week is followed by a string of mixed-media news and rumors, including Aquaman 2, Red Sonja on Netflix, MCU schedules and more! March is officially Women's History Month! Check out my website Sensational She-Geek Blog for the reading orders of my favorite female comic characters, with some including complete summaries of events! I'll be back Friday, March 5th for a new episode covering this weeks New Comics Releases, as well as any new geek-media news and announcements! Stay Sweaty!

Ep.6A: WandaVision's Agatha Unleased! Ep7 Recap & Theories PLUS NCBD Representation + More!2/22/2021
Since it's Monday, I'm talking A LOT about WandaVision episode 7--and what an episode it was! Monica's powers, Darcy filling in Vision, the unravelling of the Hex, and of course the long-awaited reveal of Agatha Harkness! What is she up to? I've got so many thoughts to share! (about 40 minutes worth!)
Then for this week's New Comic Book Day, I spotlight some of the comics that stand for excellent representation of characters and creators of color, LGBTQ+/Queer topics, and/or women in comics, the generally more marginalized groups of this industry. Plus, I include a brief explanation of the upcoming "Fine Art" Black Black Panther variants, and a general run-down on what else I'm excited for this week in new comics! More MCU and DCEU film and TV casting announcements from the week are followed by what's becoming a regular segment on Zack Snyder's continuing Justice League pre-promotion, all wrapped up with a note on the Fantastic Four rumors and Hasbro's continued action figure flailing. I'll be back this Friday, Feb. 26th for discussion and review of this week's New Comic Books! These episodes are getting progressively longer...What can I say? It's a great time to be a nerd, and it's an excellent era to try new comics! Stay sweaty!

Happy Monday! Today I'm talking thoughts and theories on WandaVision's sixth episode, and there is a LOT to cover! From Pietro to Monica's "contact," the episode is fully discussed here.
Afterwards, I talk about Zack Snyder's Justice League, which had its "first" trailer yesterday, which in turn made it even more relevant to talk about the ongoing scandals surrounding writer/director Joss Whedon, who took over the original Justice League project after Snyder stepped away. Plus, in preemption to Batman/Catwoman #3 (of 12) tomorrow, I walk through Tom King's love story for the two DC characters, explaining the history as he's laid it out, how it relates to what's happening in the current series, and breaking down my thoughts and theories on the series so far. Finally, a note of explanation on the term "sweaty" and it's originator, Jon Schnepp, and some brief discussion on what I'm looking forward to in new comics this week. There's always a lot to talk about in this industry, so hour-long episodes might become the new norm...
