We've entered the hottest part of the year, just in time for Convention season! But the heat isn't the only major complication this year. More in the news segment! Continuing our Tarot Lessons, the Card of the Week 00:03:19 is Major Arcana #12: the Hanged Man. I found what I thought was some neat history, trailing down into the usual pop culture references and concluding with the modern take on the card. There's a bit of news for Comic Books 00:15:46, which contains spoilers for the recent Fallen Friend issue and the future of the character in question. The base of our MCU Fatigue discussions found in this episode starts here. The fairly extensive Recent Reads/Events 00:23:52 covers almost a month of comics catching up, including talk about both the current Marvel and DC comic events. For Marvel, I put together a somewhat brief summary of the Sins of Sinister event and how it leads into our current Before the Fall "precursor" event. Then for DC, I have a very basic rundown of the Knight Terrors event backstory, and a few of the stories that have happened so far. More for both next episode! Other comics discussed in slightly more-depth include Doctor Strange #5, Jon Kent's new series, the end of Hairball, the complicated feelings on Captain Marvel through Dark Tempest #1 (and her movie), and of course, more on Fallen Friend. Shows/Movies/Anime 00:51:50 begins with what we've been currently watching, starting with a longer discussion of Hijack (ApleTV+) and ending with one about My Adventures with Superman (MAX)! Both are very positive, just so ya know. Then News for this section 001:04:04, with some Anime Expo announcements, some Greta Gerwig mentions, and a good amount of discourse on the VARIOUS big strikes happening right now, and how that'll effect both con season and the immediate future of fandom. Adam mostly covers the real talk on the latest Secret Invasion episodes 01:13:34, covering the BIGGEST reveals, who's lived and died so far, general MCU observations, and a fair amount of theories. Last is Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 01:21:34, covering episodes 3-5 of season 2. All of them have been delightful, IMO, true to the spirit of Trek. On that note, we also ended up talking Doctor Who, and my "theory" on how the two shows are basically the same thing. The end! I'll be back as soon as I can manage, so stay hydrated, but metaphorically sweaty. TAROT

The entire world has been forced into eternal slumber, including all the heroes and villains, as Insomnia searches their dreams for the Nightmare Stone. Can the heroes survive being trapped in their darkest fears?" -Insomnia may believe himself to be The Lord Of The Dreaming, but in reality, he was an Arkham inmate, transformed by Lazarus Juice, and found himself able to manipulate dreams. And it began with fellow inmate John Dee, Doctor Destiny, placed in Arkham Tower after Deathstroke was defeated in Dark Crisis. -The Dreamstone was, in Sandman, one of Dream's items of power. The Nightmare Stone, however, is something new. The Deamstone was made in the Dreaming but hidden in the waking world. The Nightmare Stone is the opposite. And it had been hidden in the dreams – or nightmares – of one of Doctor Destiny's enemies, namely the Justice League. -In the DC Universe, the realms of death and dream are related, as if they were brother and sister. We get Sandman, but maybe not the one you were expecting, as Wesley Dodds resurrected by the same Lazarus Juice that created Insomnia.
